Well Rachel McAdams sure knows how to turn up the fire in her onscreen romances in flicks such as, The Notebook and The Vow, it appears the actress isn't having as much luck with her real-life romance.
According to Us Weekly, the Mean Girls star has ended her two-year relationship with Midnight in Paris costar Michael Sheen.
While the two first met back on the set of Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris in 2010, it wasn't until after filming that they took their on-screen romance to real life and they've appeared to be lovey dovey ever since.
"Michael and I didn't get together while we were filming Midnight in paris, which I feel strongly about not doing when I'm working. We became quite food friends, which I think is a great way to start," McAdams previously told The Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine in January 2012. "I felt very blessed to have made a Woody Allen film in Paris together."
Despite their hectic work schedules, McAdams expressed her dedication to making the relationship work back when news first broke of the couple. "Michael and I never spend more than three weeks apart -- we rack up a lot of air miles -- but you have to be quite adaptable in this business whether you are in a relationship or not," she told Stella mag. She also expressed that the key to any relationship is good communication.
So what went wrong with McAdams, 34, and Sheen, 44, to make them part their separate ways? While reps for both could not be reached for comment, E! News has received word from a source that leads us to believe it may not be anything too serious. "It's likely not permanent. Temporary hiccup," the source revealed.
Hopefully the two can rehash things quickly and make it work.
What do you think of this news Mocha Lovers? Are you shocked the famous Hollywood couple called it quits?
