Janet Jackson Shocks Again With Secret Wedding

February 26th, 2013 - Marriage

Small Bite: Surprise! They’ve BEEN married.

Full Platter:

When it comes to Janet Jackson and marriage, fans and the media always seem to find out after the fact.

This time is no exception.

ETOnline initially broke the news that the singer married Qatari businessman, Wissam Al Mani, last year. The couple’s rep confirmed the news today with People Magazine. This is Wissam’s first marriage and Jackson’s third, being married previously to James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo, Jr. (whom she also married in secret).

So instead of that alleged, über-extravagant wedding everyone was talking about (and desperately wanting) for the singer, 46, and her younger husband, 37, the couple opted to  simply marry in a "quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.”

Janet and her new hubby did not exchange expensive wedding gifts, opting to donate to their favorite children’s charities instead.

The couple added, “We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy.”

Al Mana is much more than what he seems. The billionaire is the Managing Director of Al Mana Retail, that represents luxury brands such as Giorgio Armani, Hermes, Balenciaga, and Roberto Cavali. He also owns shares in Saks Fifth Avenue locations in Dubai and Bahrain. The couple was recently spotted making the rounds at Milan Fashion Week

New hubby and fly threads? Not bad, Janet. Not bad at all.

Congrats (belated, of course) to the newlyweds.

So now that question is answered, can baby watch be not far behind? Mocha lovers know that secret would be a lot harder to keep. Or would it?
