It appears the pop diva has busted one too many dance moves on stage, causing a severe hip injury that will put her Born This Way Ball tour on hiatus.
A statement was released from Live nation saying, "After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip." Followed by: "She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover."
Lady Gaga is not one to let a little bump in the road get in her way; but, due to multiple, intense and high energy performances a week, the 26-year-old singer's hip has progressively worsened.
She tweeted out at the beginning of the week saying, "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't." She continued: "It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry."
The latest updates from Gaga have concluded that the pop princess has a case of synovitis (aka a severe inflammation of joints).
Poor Lady Gaga. Here's to a quick and speedy recovery!
For those looking forward to an upcoming performance, refunds will be available for purchase starting today.
