We had mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Young Money rapstress, Nicki Minaj, spent her 4th of July filming the music video to her latest single "Pound The Alarm" in Trinidad. Well she hit the stage and performed the single on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" this past weekend sporting a very...um, interesting costume. Now, we all know she's known for her above and beyond looks, so this didn't really come as a surprise. However, although her wig game has chilled for a bit, I did have to do a couple of double takes and hit the pause button as I thought to myself, "wait... are those...those can't be...oh Lord, those are nipple pasties!"

Her performance matched the tempo of the song, very upbeat and hype. There's no doubt that she got the crowd dancing along so props to her! But from a fashion perspective --- SMH... tropical peacock feathers?! On the bum?! and a sparkly one piece? I feared the camel toe monster was going to attack us all.*tears*

We're not sure as to whether or not Nicki's breast petals came with the costume, or if there was some sort of wardrobe malfunction backstage in which she had no choice but to stick those babies on. Either way, we are very thankful that Nicki's fun bags did not come out to play with Jay Leno...however, in all honesty, that would have made a better story.
