So what has Mathew Knowles been up to since his baby girl Beyonce allegedly let him go as her manager? Two words: Reality TV.
Before you go off expecting to see Mr. Knowles on the next episode of "Love & Hip Hop" or next season's "Basketball Wives," you should know that it's a show on Teen Nick. Ouuuuu. The show will center his new project, an all girl band named "From Above." The focus will be the girls' journey to stardom, which will be almost like an intense bootcamp that ranges anywhere from physical, vocal, media, and choreography training.
The show already has an international fan base out in the UK, so Knowles' hopes this weekend's premiere will increase From Above's status here in the US, he said "Our goal is continue to build [From Above's] brand internationally and use the U.S. launch as an introduction to the group and their music." Considering all of the success Destiny's Child, and Beyonce's solo career has had, this could be the next big thing for Mathew.
Tune into Teen Nick tomorrow night, June 29, at 8:30 to watch Mathew Knowles' new reality TV show "Breaking From Above."
