Rest assured, ladies! Mariah Carey is alive!

The 42-year-old singer Mariah Carey was slammed with a death hoax via Twitter. Tweets attributed to @BET, @CNN_TV and @CNN incorrectly reported Mariah Carey as having been "found dead," reports E! Online. Once it was confirmed that Mariah was alive and well, the users who falsely quoted these outlets were immediately deactivated from Twitter, reports Gossip Cop.

No worries, the beautiful mother of Monroe and Moroccan is safe and sound! Just to double-reassure her fans, Mariah posted several tweets to prove her existence. Thank goodness; whoever thought these death hoaxes would be funny needs some serious help.
