R&B princess, Ashanti, just recently cashed in some big bucks after she guest spoke at a high school in Atlantic City, New Jersey -- $20,000 to be exact. During her appearance, she spoke with all different students, privately met with a group of middle schoolers, and even did an interview with the student radio station. She encouraged students to reach for their goals, follow their dreams, remain focused in school, and to have a healthy support system amongst family and friends.

The Assistant Superintendent reports that the money to pay for Ashanti's appearance came from the district budget account that is meant for instructional services. He also says that the school felt that her appearance was a "once-in-a-lifetime" experience.
