Rapper Nas, aka Nasir Jones, has recently joined fellow hip hop artists, Russell Simmons and The Dream, in their support for Gwyneth Paltrow's use of the "N-word" after she tweeted a picture of herself at the Watch The Throne concert with the caption "N*ggas in Paris for real."
According to the Queens rapper, the Academy Award-winning actress is allowed to use the "n-word" because "she's a real n---a." He also added, "I would slap the s--- out of somebody for Gwyneth Paltrow. She's the homie, she's cool. Gwyneth gets a pass. We don't interrupt Italians when they say 'Wop' to each other. Don't interrupt us. We pick and choose." Nas also mentioned that when it comes to the "n-word" it will bother some more than others, "but some people get a pass."
What do you guys think about Nas' defense? Do these hip hop artists have a valid point? Share your comments below! We'd love to hear what you think.
