Donna Summer, the famous 'Hot Stuff' singer died at the age of 63 after battling lung cancer.
Here is the sad thing--Donna believed that she got cancer after inhaling the unclean air after the 9/11 attacks in New York. And apparently she had continued to believe something was wrong with her body until she was finally diagnosed with lung cancer only ten months ago. After receiving the news, she kept the unfortunate news private, only telling her husband and three children.
A public memorial for the diva will be held in Nashville, Tennessee. Donna has shaken up the disco genre with her 70s hits; she was not only a five-time Grammy Award winner, but also the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the U.S. Billboard chart.
She will always be remembered as the Queen of Disco in our hearts. Rest in peace, Donna. Share your thoughts below!
