Finally, the verdict is reached in the tragic Hudson murder trial. William Balfour is found guilty on all counts of murder. Around 2:00 o'clock today, central time, the jurors sent the judge a note stating that they were split but reaching towards a decision. At 4:30 pm, the six-man and six-woman jury read their final verdict.

Aside from being charged on three counts of murder, Balfour is also guilty of home invasion, residential burglary, aggravated kidnapping, and the possession of a stolen vehicle. He spent his 31st birthday in a maximum security prison yesterday. Balfour's lawyer, Amy Thompson, plans to appeal Balfour's case on June 8.
