Jennifer Hudson took the stand this morning to testify against William Balfour, the alleged murderer of her mother, brother and nephew back in October 2008. She was accompanied by her fiancé, David Otunga.

In an emotionally charged testimony she expresses her fears over her sister Julia's marriage to William Balfour. "I told her over and over again to not marry him. We did not like how he treated her," she said.

The trial started today and, according to E! Online, may last up to four weeks. Balfour faces first degree murder charges, along with other misdemeanors, and if found guilty may face life in prison. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
